Sector Alpha Halo 3 is a rebuild of the ever so popular Xbox 360 game by Bungie Studios; Halo 3. Created by Chakyl, this server is as close to the original as possible, bearing in mind the restrictions that Minecraft has. Main features include every single Halo 3 weapon (X in total), four original maps (Guardian, The Pit, Valhalla, and Narrows) with two non-canon maps (Warehouse and Steamboat).

Mechanics

  • Sprinting disabled for realism.
  • Two races, Elite and Spartan.
  • 15+ armor colours to choose from for each race.
  • Guns and items spawn randomly on the map.
  • Gun mechanics:
 "MB2" (Right click) to shoot.
"MB1" (Left click) to use scope (If available)
"Q" (Drop item key) to reload.
"Shift" (Sneak) improves accuracy and cancels recoil.
"MB1" (Left click) is used for melee (If gun has no scope).
  • Regen potions replace shields.

Tokens

Tokens are the currency of the game that can buy lobby hats, and may be earned in several different ways. Players gain 1 token per kill and 10 tokens per win, which means that in a game of Slayer the winner earns a total of 35 tokens. Alternatively, tokens may earned by betting in the first x COMPLETE

Ranks

Ranks are a sign of how long a player has played, not how skilled the player actually is. Ranks are based off Halo 3 multiplayer ranks, and offer no advantage aside from aesthetics.

After playing only 1 hour on the server, players receive their first rank, Apprentice. After that, it takes twice as many hours to gain the next rank than the one you previously earned. For example, it takes 2 hours to earn the Private rank, and 4 for the Corporal rank. It takes a total of 1024 hours to earn the highest rank, and you can check the amount of time played on the server by using /ontime. For a list of ranks, visit the SA Halo 3 Ranks page.
